This is my major project that i designed, and built by myself (with help from my teacher) for a course called "Industrial Technology". I actually designed it with the initial purpose that it would make it easier for the drawings that i will be doing for Arch (as seen from the lift up top). It took me so long that i had to finish it even on the last due date, it also came with a portfolio which i spent a whole last night doing. ooh and the lift up top comes in 3 different angles. Now that it's in my room, it's scattered with mess. But the thing that i like about my design the most is that the structure supports each other.
B) Inspirational Building
What inspired me to become an architect was not from a building, but just the thought that i would be able to stand back and see my own design, while remembering the hard work i put into it and know that it was worth it. However when i first saw this house i thought "HOLY CRAP this is amazing", (not because of the design itself but what it made me feel) this house gave me the feeling of what a home should be: Safe, Stable, something that you would love to come home to, and most importantly a natural feeling. Then i thought if i could design a building that was admired by someone just glancing at it with their eyes, it would make my hard work all the more worth it.
C) Something Beautiful
As most of you now this is the university walkway, but has anyone walked through there early in the morning without any interruptions, what you will notice is "peace and quiet" from the rustling of leaves. But this was the first time i officially walked through here as a UNSW student, and it felt as if this walkway was inviting me into the uni, as it was a walkway of constant beauty. Maybe this is just a feeling of a first year student but it was beautiful.
