FINAL SUBMISSION

Andrew_ieong-z3254931-arc3.ut2

Versace 's space:
inspired through one of the work of Calatravaand the style of versace
i decided to design a space where it is elegant, and stylish, while portraying the word "power" as this building enlarges spaciously, to show where the most powerful area is where versace's office is located. further highlighting the word power by the allowing the ceiling to have the power to extrude as the walls of versace's office. (this will make sense once inside her space). the elegant of her space is further shown by the use of a shiny chrome texture.
her elevator is also shown as an elegant space, where she stands in the middle (holding the spotlight), while also holding some aspects of her office space.

Meeting space:
this space portrays the word power by showing a hierarchy system, where both clients meets at the highest space possible, depicting their power as the highest level possible. this space also allows its clients to be on top of the world, by the use of glass showing the land mass under the meeting space.

the meeting table depicts both clients power, by showing how the table comes together as it cooperates to form a geometry, while at the middle of the table shows that both the clients is still trying to prove tat they have more power, by using sharp geometry of a triangle, 'digging' into the other sides geometry.
Zhang Yin space:
Yin requires her space to be both resourceful, and to portray a modern empire, as she wants to be the top leader in the paper recycle industry. through the use of the symbol "long life" in the Chinese tradition. i designed her space to become a modern empire through the combination of the geometry of the "long life" symbol. while the resourcefulness is shown through the constant use of the symbol "long life".
her space portrays the word "power" as her office is located at the end of the space where the only clear symbol of the "long life" is seen.
Yin's elevator is also shown as the combinations of the geometry of the "long life" symbol, further empathizing her need for her empire to last forever. while holding the aspects of her background tradition.

Mash up

It was Just five years ago, that Barbie was driving around the United States in a used Dodge Caravan minivan, begging garbage dumps to give her their scrap paper, before became the new sex-symbol for Apple Inc. She later on helped in the design of the iPod digital music player in October 2001, trying to use Apple design ideas to differentiate the company in highly competitive consumer markets. She said “So much time and work goes into making computers. I want them to be cared for.” As a result of her entrepreneurship, she took over Apple with $3,800 cash and is now richer than virtually any other woman anywhere in the world, including Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, and the chief executive of eBay, Meg Whitman. Her personal wealth is estimated at $1.5 billion or more. Now the leader of the entertainment and communications industry for almost six years, a rare achievement in a world of fancy and fad, "My desire has always been to be the leader in an industry." She started out from a modest background, working as Mary’s little lamb following her everywhere she went. Now she dominates the world's entertainment and communications industry, long been known for her intense focus on product design and marketing, but she added “I don’t design the same thing a lot of times.” “Don’t call it beige,” she corrected. “Blond.”

even though this image shows very simple geometry, it proves to hold various surprises once walked through. as the human and monlkey minds are also full of surprises, one life time will never understand.

Relation to quote: as seen, this corridor immediately employs a feeling of mystery , as there is no knowing what lies beyond it. which both human and monkey minds posse.

i decided to create a upside down pyramid, to try to resemble a black hole but at the same time have it so enormous that you get the sense of being insignificant. i further highlighted this feeling of insignificant by the combination of 3 rectangular prism, as it is also enormous

Relation to quote: this geometry displays the complex characteristics that both humans and monkeys posses. Even though it may aggregate, and confuse them, yet they still have the urge to explore and investigate as this intrigue's them.
